harrassing phone calls

When i answer no response from calling party, tried to call back and it says its disconnected, call originates from Hackensack, NJ

multiple calls from this number, I have informed them repeatedly that we are on the DO NOT CALL list and asked them to stop calling us to no avail.

That number was registered in my cell phone caller's id, message leaved was: You have an important message please call back, but when i do the call the system say that i can't reach that number or can't be connected!

I purchased a gift subscription for a friend over a year ago. I did not renew the subscription. I have called and formally requested that USA Today stop harassing me over renewing on 4 separate occasions during the past month. On each occasion, I have told them it was a gift for someone else, I am not renewing the subscription nor do I want a subscription for myself. I have formally called and requested they stop calling me 4 times. If I tell the rep who calls me to stop calling, they hang up and call back a few hours later. Since I last formally called USA Today and asked them to cease and desist, they have called me 18 more times (during the past 9 days) which I am now logging. They will normally harass me twice a day. We have received 25 calls from this number in the past month. Most have been in the middle of the day, but not all. No name, no ID, no one speaks. We know it's not a creditor but we don't know who it is, but we'd like it to stop.

This is a scam. They bought the information from id theft crooks and are using it to threaten people. I already checked and the number is spoofed. They are not even in the country. They will never, not even if you say you will send a check, give you their address as this gives away the scam. You will NOT be arrested. You will NOT be served. They are not a law firm or police or whatever else they claim to be. They are crooks based out of India.

Called my phone asked is Denise there.I said who is this and she hung up. I have no idea who this person is.
